Urban Villages: Understanding Finance (North Belfast) Free training

NICVA
Good financial management is an integral part of ensuring good governance as it not only helps charity trustees to fulfil their legal duties but also helps to protect the charity from mismanagement of funds. Having robust financial procedures in place will help to improve organisational capacity and effectiveness. The focus of this workshop will be on basic recording keeping and financial management including setting up and maintaining the books (income and expenditure ledger, petty cash); cash handling, understanding charity funds (restricted and unrestricted) and accounts and the role of the treasurer.
This training has been arranged in the early evening to suit those who work during the day. Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm and the training will start at 6.00pm.
We are running this session and a free session on Understanding Governance across Belfast and in Derry/Londonderry. Find a list of dates and locations here: http://www.nicva.org/urbanvillages.
