Understanding & Accessing the Healthcare System Workshop (in NI)

This is a free event
Everyone struggling to understand and access their Healthcare System is welcome. We serve the vulnerable and underserved, who struggle to understand and access healthcare resulting in low healthcare outcomes and increased medical errors and deaths. This includes migrants, including the undocumented, refugees, elderly people as well as people with long-term chronic health conditions, and disabled people who cannot easily access health resources.

The online Zoom workshops are one hour long and cover essential topics including:
Understanding Health Language (Health Literacy)
Knowing your Patient Rights
How to Stand up and Be Heard
How to Research Online as an ePatient

Women are disproportionately affected, with 24.5% earning below the Real Living Wage compared to 16.3% of men.
