Supporting Traumatic Bereavement

Delegates will explore preparation, engagement, and reflection – three important aspects of managing trauma, grief, and loss. They will increase or enhance their awareness around traumatic bereavements in Northern Ireland and their ability to communicate with individuals and communities experiencing shock, disbelief, distress, and/or confusion. Delegates will develop their ability to provide clear, compassionate initial responses at first contact and during the period of engagement. Methods of reflection and learning will conclude an informative morning.
The workshop will begin after registration at 9.30am has been completed, until 1pm when lunch will be served. There will be networking opportunities up until 2pm.
Delegates are also invited to attend the afternoon session from 2-4pm, Sharing the learning on the Traumatic Bereavement Support Service which includes guest speakers.
Lunch and refreshments are included.
