From Short Breaks to Full Time Fostering

This talk and Q and A session is hosted by Barnardo's Fostering Northern Ireland.
Right now, across the UK, there are more children than ever who need a safe, loving foster family and we have seen a significant increase in children referred to Barnardo's. We will discuss the practicalities and reality of becoming a foster carer, the differences between short breaks and full-time fostering and what its like moving to full time fostering for those who have some experience of short breaks support.
This event is open to those new to fostering who would like to know more about the different types of fostering we offer and the training and support on offer - and those interested in moving to full time fostering who may have some experience in short breaks or respite care.
