Working alone with the public doesn’t have to mean taking risks. Feeling safe and well doesn’t just extend to face-to-face work with the public, it includes telephone /online interactions, travel and other scenarios.

This practical, interactive and engaging workshop style training equips participants with:

  • Thought provoking awareness raising tools
  • Processes to improve their personal safety on the job on or off site as we in the Advice Sector begin to return to face to face advice in our offices, at outreach and beyond
  • The tools to mitigate risks and feel safe

Who Should Attend

This course is best suited to anyone working directly with the public in a frontline advice, triage or reception role or anyone who provides direct 1-1 support to clients.

CPD

This course is worth 3 CPD points under the Northern Ireland Advice Quality Standard.

Professional Framework

This is a CPD course and it will provide learners with information on safer lone working procedures. It links to a range of National Occupational Standards for Legal Advisers including:

  • SFJIB19 - First line welfare rights legal advice
  • SFJIB20- Provide specialist welfare rights legal advice
