Safe at Home: Independent Living Solutions

Shelter NI would like to invite you and your colleagues to attend our Seminar and Launch event on 22nd November 2019 at the Strabane Enterprise Centre. There is no charge for the event and refreshments will be provided. 

The National Lottery Community Fund has awarded funding to our Project GABLE's Helping Hands Service operating in Derry and Strabane. Our fantastic handymen support older and disabled people living in the private sector, carrying out repairs, maintenance and minor adaptations such as hand and grabrail installations, essential to keeping safe and secure within their own homes. 

This funding is enabling us to expand to keep up with increasing needs in the north west, allowing us to reach more people who really need our help, and we are delighted to be launching our transformed Helping Hands Service.  

To mark this occasion we are presenting a seminar 'Safe at Home: Independent Living Solutions', to showcase the fantastic work being done to support older and disabled people to maintain their safety and independence at home, and to explore future solutions in our workshop session. We have a brilliant line up of speakers presenting (detailed below).
