This session will focus on Community Fundraising and Positive lessons learned from Covid 19

This workshop kindly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund - Awards for All programme will be delivered by Sarah Goddard.

When the pandemic hit, everyone panicked that community fundraising was 'cancelled'. How could communities fundraise if there was no community to fundraise from? But that wasn't the case. In fact for some charities, community income increased. Because "when there is a need, the community will come together to meet that need"

So how do we make sure the community fundraising at our charity is resilient, and our supporters are inspired to keep supporting us? In this 90 min webinar, we'll look at micro actions - not long-term commitments, maximising the opportunities that you can't plan for and the importance of back to basics stewardship done well not perfect.

Sarah is a values-driven Public Fundraising specialist with over 15 years experience across community, events and individual giving and brings these areas together as ‘Public Fundraising’. Sarah is passionate about the power individuals and communities have in helping charities achieve change.

As a consultant she specialises in helping small and medium charities build relationships with supporters and inspire them to continue giving and fundraising to make a difference. She has previously headed up several fundraising teams, and went freelance so she could help upskill new, junior or sole fundraisers to become the next generation working to change the world.
