OCN NI Level 3 Award In Working With Children And Young People With Special Needs

The OCN NI Level 3 Award in Working with Children and Young People with Special Needs is designed to provide the practitioner with the skills and knowledge required to enable them to work effectively with children and young people with special needs.  This full level 3 qualification is completed in a maximum of 40 hours via our virtual learning environment Google Classroom. It is coursework based with four short workbooks to be completed for the assessment. Full tutor support is provided as you work through your online course giving feedback to you on coursework and also guiding you and helping with any issues you may have.

This course gives an overview of special needs and how to support individuals with special needs in a learning environment. 

The course looks at:

- key special educational needs 

- key legislations

- strategies to support children and young people who have special educational needs

- working with practitioners

- advocacy and additional support
