OCN Level 4 Community Interpreting

This course is suitable for both, unqualified and inexperienced bi- lingual people, as well as those who are working as interpreters, but haven’t got any training.

Duration: 6 week course. Fridays from 10.00 hrs– 15.00 hrs

Covers all 7 public sectors: Health, Education, Social Services, Housing, Benefits, Criminal Justice, and Immigration.

Covers Private Sector: Employment procedures, disciplinary procedures, and grievances

Guest speakers, full preparation pack, and online platform with detailed information on all sectors.

In order to achieve the accredited training certificate, the students will have a final role play at the end of the course and they will have to submit a workbook.

Students will receive an accredited certificate

Introduces bilinguals to the interpreting business and presents them with an opportunity to start a career.

Progression route available.
The course is open to applicants of all languages.
However, you may be eligible for Diversity NI sponsorship if you speak any of the following languages: Amharic, Bengali, Farsi, Kurdish (Sorani and Kurmanji), Mandinka (including Gambian dialect), Tamil, Tetum, and Vietnamese.
