NICVA Conference COVID-19 Taking Stock at the year end

NICVA
This is a free event

The Minister created an Emergencies Leadership Group and held a first meeting in DfC’s Headquarters on Friday 20 March. Taking part were a range of individuals from across the sector, local government, and statutory agencies.
The situation regarding the pandemic was starting to unfold. Many voluntary and community organisations had already started to act and were changing how they delivered their activities and events.
On the 28 March, the NI Executive announced new powers and we went into lockdown.
We are now past the six-month stage and no-one is yet sure how the next six months and the year thereafter will unfold; but we do have to deal with it.
This stock-taking conference will reflect on learning from the past in the emergency, the good bits and the not so good, and will attempt to map out the route ahead.
Speaking will be:
- Carál Ní Chuilín, Minister for Communities
- Tracy Meharg, Permanent Secretary DfC
- Dr Michael McBride, Chief Medical Officer DoH
- Seamus McAleavey, NICVA
This conference will take place over Zoom and joining instructions will be emailed to you.
