Who should attend:
All money guiders and practitioners are welcome to attend this free event. This could include (but not limited to) staff in Northern Ireland who are supporting service users with debt, lending or any having financial concerns, for example:
• Anyone providing guidance to improve the financial wellbeing of the users of their service
• Any practitioner discussion energy or fuel poverty with their clients
What will you get from this event?
The session will provide information on how you can help service users energy efficiency awareness and grant information across all NI Households – home owners, tenants, and private sector rented homes. We will be discussing:
• Energy Efficiency savings – hints and tips
• Switching Your Provider
• Available Energy Efficiency Grants – referral and signposting
• NI Oil Network – Oil savings
This workshop is aimed to fit within the Money Guidance Technical Domain 5 - Budgeting and cashflow. Awareness of methods for reducing household outgoings (e.g. switching energy or mobile provider etc.)

Gemma Cowles from NI Energy Advice Service - As the Home Energy Conservation Authority (HECA) for Northern Ireland. NI Energy Advice offers free independent and impartial energy advice to domestic householders in Northern Ireland - including advice about energy grants and other sources of help.
