This one-day course focuses on commonly experienced problem areas within Universal Credit. Learning involves using case studies collected from our network and the GB experience of Universal Credit.
Learners should already have a foundation knowledge of Universal Credit.
The course in includes: Problems with LCW & WRA and earnings and issues with the work allowances; Accessing the Care Element / The overlap with LCW & WRA; Problems with conditionality, sanctions, work coaching and claim closures; The difference between determinations and decisions and how to challenge either; Problems with Self Employment and UC for Students.

Women are disproportionately affected, with 24.5% earning below the Real Living Wage compared to 16.3% of men.
