With the Department’s ‘discovery phase’ of ‘Move to UC’ coming to an end we expect to see an expansion of managed migration of existing benefit claims to Universal Credit in the coming months.
This course offers advisers a detailed introduction to all the key features of the migration process within the most up-to-date policy context.
In particular, it will focus on:
- the introduction of Universal Credit as a key feature of the Welfare Reform agenda;
- comparisons between natural and managed migration;
- the managed migration process, including notification, time limits and claimant responsibilities
- impacts of ‘Move to UC’ and how these can be mitigated
Who Should Attend
This course is best suited to anyone working directly with the public in a frontline advice, triage or reception role or anyone who provides direct 1-1 support to clients.
