Improve Your Online Skills, a programme for parents of children with special educational needs to assist you navigate the online aspect of the SEN System.
Special Educational Needs Advice Centre
'Improve Your Digital Skills' is a free 10 week programme delivered by Advice Ni and the Special Educational Needs Advice Centre (SENAC). The programme is specifically designed for parents of children with additional needs and disabilities to assist parents build their confidence, skills and knowledge online and in the application of the statutory Special Educational Needs system.
The programme will include training and information on:
Using the Internet, digital skills and online safety
Special Educational Needs System and rights
Navigating the SEN system online and exploration of Education Authority website and other useful SEN related websites
Carers benefits and children's DLA
The course starts on 20th September am, will be approximately 1 and half hour sessions and will run each week over 10 weeks. A device will be provided to each participant for use if required.
