Are you ready for the introduction of The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the 25th May 2018? GDPR, which replaces the current Data Protection Act, will bring about tighter rules around data processing and who organisations can contact.
This comes into force on May 25, 2018 and will affect how charities manage their fundraising, their campaigns and their volunteers. Organisations who do not comply with the new legislation face fines of up to 4% of their overall turnover!
In conjunction with NICVA and the Information Commissioner's Office, we are hosting an information session on Friday 17th November at 10am-12pm for Community/Voluntary Sector groups.
At the session, Information Commissioners Office (ICO) staff will explore the key aspects of the GDPR in the format of what’s new, and what stays the same. Discover what your organisation can do to prepare for these changes through the dissemination of information and group discussion.
