Housing Rights joins the Money Guiders NI Network in participation for Homeless Awareness Week 2022 to offer insight into their support in providing practical, informative, and relevant information to enhance your knowledge and skills and help to deliver high quality services.
About the organisation
Housing Rights is the leading provider of independent housing advice in Northern Ireland. They have been delivering high-quality specialist training on housing and homelessness related issues to professionals working in the housing sector for over 20 years.
Housing Rights provide a broad range of training courses on housing and welfare related issues, and we offer both accredited and non-accredited courses.
These relevant courses help to enable housing and welfare professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills and deliver high quality advice services to their clients; as well as supporting continuous professional development and enhancing their career prospects
Who should attend?
All money guidance practitioners are welcome to attend this free event. This could include staff in Northern Ireland who are supporting service users with diffcult conversations and anyone offering guidance to improve the financial wellbeing of the users of their service.
The Money Guidance Competency Framework
This event is designed to help you improve your money guidance practice, developing skills, confidence and knowledge around a specific money related area. Everything that the Money Guiders programme offers centres around the Money Guidance Competency Framework - it's there to help you better understand the full breadth and depth of money related issues that fall outside of the regulated financial advice service sector - the things you talk to your customers about.

Foundation Level - Signposting customers: all practitioners – no matter their job role – must be able to elicit simple, factual information from the customer in order to signpost them to appropriate sources of further support, advice or information.
Before attending this session, you could spend some time considering the challenges you face in your work, specifically when you provide help and guidance to your clients or service users around money issues.
