This event is delivered as part of the Go Succeed Community Outreach programme, and brought to you by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.

Katie Matthews Furphy
Katie Matthews Furphy is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, educator, speaker, and global mental health trainer. As a trauma-informed practitioner with 15 years of lived experience with mental illness, Katie is passionate about mental health advocacy, inclusive entrepreneurship, female leadership, and community development.
Katie founded her first business at the age of 23 after graduating from Queen’s University Belfast and has since established four businesses and two voluntary organisations. She has held influential roles, including Northern Ireland National Director for the Global Entrepreneurship Network UK, UK Director for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022, and delivery partner for Belfast City Council’s Inclusive Enterprise Pathway.
Her achievements have earned her a place on prestigious lists such as Belfast Telegraph’s NI 30 Under 30 and the f:entrepreneur UK Top 100. With awards for Young Business Person, Young Leader, and Mental Health Trainer of the Year, Katie’s inspiring journey showcases resilience, leadership, and her unwavering commitment to empowering others.

Vivian McKinnon - Hydro-Ease
Vivian McKinnon is a trailblazer in the field of emotional healing and resilience, drawing on her deeply personal journey of transformation to inspire others. With nearly four decades of lived experience navigating the impact of trauma, adverse childhood experiences, and stress, Vivian turned her life around following a profound personal reckoning in 1999.
Her journey led her to extensive study and practice in therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Brainspotting, Havening Techniques, and many others. As the founder of Hydro-Ease, Ireland’s first dedicated floatation centre, Vivian combines these approaches with the healing power of floatation therapy to help individuals reconnect with their authentic selves and manage the weight of stress and trauma.
At Hydro-Ease, Vivian has created a haven where clients can experience bespoke therapeutic support alongside state-of-the-art floatation facilities designed to promote relaxation and healing. Her mission is simple yet profound: to empower individuals to take control of their internal world and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.

Vicky Blades - Women In Business
Vicky is a professional actress, qualified life & executive coach and superstar administrator!
Alongside her acting she has held a variety of jobs, including 20+ years of admin roles, such as training and events organiser, office manager and project coordinator for organisations including the British Library and UNICEF.
Most recently she was the Course Co-ordinator for the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, running the Acting Foundation course in Belfast.
She also has a teaching and training background and is an experienced workshop facilitator, in fact she loves nothing more than standing in front of a room full of people! Which is why she also runs her own business, Generally Speaking, coaching clients in public speaking, presentation skills and communications.
Vicky is particularly interested in encouraging women to speak up and speak out, so that they can tell their stories, promote their business and network with confidence. Because getting women together in a room creates magic! Vicky has an MA in Acting for Media, a QQI Standard Level 6 certificate in Life & Executive Coaching, is CELTA qualified and recently gained an ILM L3 in Communication.
Originally from Sweden, she has lived all over the UK and even further afield, including Myanmar and Madagascar.

Sheila Davidson - Inspire Business Centre & Sheila Davidson Consulting
Sheila has been on the Board of Inspire Business Centre since January 2016 and has been privileged to be part of a team that has delivered an environment that supports jobs, businesses and a great working environment.
As a public relations and public affairs professional, she has worked with leading companies including Tesco, Dale Farm, Tayto, Deloitte and Ulster Bank.
Sheila also served on the Senate at Queens University and the Boards of Training and Employment Agency and Investors in People as well as Ulster Orchestra and Grand Opera House.
Currently she is specialising in planning communications consultancy and brings a wealth of business, political and media experience to the Board.

Tina Calder – Excalibur Press
Tina Calder is a seasoned marketing strategist, mentor, and AI trainer, specialising in helping businesses craft compelling messages, enhance their brand visibility, and drive measurable results. As the founder and Chief Vision Officer of Excalibur Press, she has extensive experience mentoring entrepreneurs and organisations.
As a business mentor and delivery agent for the Go Succeed in the Community Tina is passionate about guiding entrepreneurs to maximise their marketing and business potential.
Tina’s career began 30 years ago in journalism and media, where she gained invaluable insights into audience engagement and media strategy.
In her imposter syndrome talk Tina will speak openly and frankly about how she battled and still battles imposter syndrome throughout her life and share with you the secrets to becoming resilient and winning the battle.
