Anthony Sinclair - Sign Source

Anthony Sinclair is the founder of Sign Source, a business dedicated to teaching British Sign Language (BSL) and raising awareness of deaf culture and accessibility. With over 18 years of experience, Anthony is passionate about education, inclusion, and diversity, regularly speaking on topics such as leadership, mental health, and accessibility.

Born profoundly deaf into a family discouraged from using BSL, Anthony understands firsthand the life-changing benefits of sign language. A qualified teacher with a PGCE in teaching sign language, he has taught in schools across the UK, shaping Personal Development and Learning for Life and Work programmes. His approach is fun, informal, and engaging, making learning accessible for all.

Beyond education, Anthony is a sports enthusiast and a gold medalist in tennis at the Deaflympics. Through Sign Source, his goal is to make learning BSL easy, affordable, and accessible, ensuring greater inclusion for the deaf community.

Denise Watson - Broadcaster & Journalist

Denise Watson has been a prominent voice in TV and radio broadcasting in Northern Ireland for over 30 years. She spent 17 years at BBC Northern Ireland as a sports presenter and reporter, fronting Final Score, covering Irish League football, and reporting pitchside for Gaelic Football’s The Championship show. In 2007, she was awarded CIPR Sports Journalist of the Year for her exclusive story on Armagh GAA star Oisín McConville’s gambling addiction.

In 2013, Denise moved to UTV, presenting and reporting on sport for UTV Live, before joining U105’s Breakfast Show in 2016 alongside Maurice Jay, where she remains a flagship presenter. She also reports on Northern Ireland’s international football matches for Talksport, a national UK radio station.

A passionate advocate for women’s sport, Denise regularly hosts sports awards and charity events. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog Eddie, reading autobiographies, and supporting her daughters in sport and musical theatre.

Ruth Young - Ruthless Media & President Lisburn Chamber of Commerce

Ruth Young, founder of Ruthless Media, is a Chartered Marketer with over 20 years of experience spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

Since launching her business in 2019, Ruth has supported over 400 organisations across the UK and Ireland, helping them maximise their social media impact through tailored training, strategy development, and paid advertising management. In this session, Ruth will share her personal journey into entrepreneurship, detailing the challenges she faced transitioning from a career in youth work and family support to running a successful digital marketing agency.
