Disability Pride Soirée is a celebration of queer d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent artists across a range of music, drag, comedy, and poetry performances by emerging artists.

The University of Atypical invites you to Disability Pride Soirée on Friday, 19 July 2024 at 6.30 or 8.30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

 

This event is supported by #BankofIdeas through #Belfast2024 Belfast City Council and sponsored by University of Atypical as part of Belfast Pride.

Disability Pride Soirée is a celebration of queer d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent artists across a range of music, drag, comedy, and poetry performances by emerging artists.

Hosted by the fantastic Deaf Drag King Paula Clarke aka ‘Sean De’Ray’ and Drag Queen Mark Cousins aka ‘Mast Ectomy’ these two special shows, each are limited to an audience of 30. 

Time of performances

First Show: doors at 6 pm, show at 6:30 pm over at 8 pm

Second Show: doors at 8 pm, show at 8:30 pm over at 10pm

Age Guidance: 15+ 

Ticket cost 

£10: recommended ticket price 

£15: for people who want to give a little bit more 

£5: for anyone on a budget 

Free: for carers coming with a person who needs assistance. 

Your support is greatly appreciated; ticket costs will go towards University of Atypical activities. Unfortunately we can not refund tickets purchased.

More information on arrangements 

You need a separate ticket for each show, and must leave the Ledger Studio between shows. The Atypical Gallery across the hall will be open for you to relax and mingle. 

We have limited capacity, and booking is essential. 

Two tickets per person per booking only.

 

Refreshments will be served. 

Accessibility Information 

This event will be seated. Each show lasts approximately 60 minutes. 

The venue has step-free access. 

The event will have British Sign Language interpretation. 

The event will have Audio Description. 

Irish Sign Language interpretation is available by request in advance. 

Please do not attend if you have symptoms of contagious illness.
