Co-operation among Co-operators: The Irish- British Connection - Conference

Co-operative Alternatives

The year 2025 has been declared the International Year of Co-operatives, with the theme "Co-operatives Build a Better World." This is a unique chance for us to share co-operative knowledge and insights from Ireland and Britain and highlight the important role our movement plays.
We've got some amazing speakers lined up, including:
- Connor Murphy, the Minister for the Economy
- Cliff Mills from Anthony Collins Solicitors, an expert in co-operative law
- Linda Ervine MBE, founder of Turas, an Irish Language project in East Belfast
Plus, many other contributors from across the island will discuss why co-operatives are still so important for society, the economy, and the environment. The event will include co-operators from housing co-ops, farming and food co-ops, educational co-ops, worker co-ops, credit unions etc.
