This session will look at how decisions are made , what mandatory reconsideration is and what direct lodgement means for a client’s rights to appeal. It will explain the new process for challenging a case in relation to clients conditionality, the work capability assessment and sanctions.

    Northern Ireland has the highest proportion of jobs paid below the real Living Wage in the UK, with some council areas seeing rates as high as one in four. Women are disproportionately affected, with 24.5% earning below the Real Living Wage compared to 16.3% of men. Part-time workers face an even greater disparity - at 38%, they are nearly three times more likely to be paid below the Real Living Wage than full-time workers, where only 13.5% fall below this threshold.
