British Red Cross PRISM Project Research Dissemination

British Red Cross

“Funded by PEACE IV, a unique initiative of the European Union designed to support peace and reconciliation. PRISM is a three year project which brings together, in partnership, the British Red Cross, Irish Red Cross, Corrymeela and ArtsEkta.
By using the principles of Contact Theory to encourage integration between the new and traditional communities in post-conflict Northern Ireland, partners from the British Red Cross, Corrymeela and ArtsEkta, have worked together to deliver ten week contact programmes, residential weekends and small grant initiatives to groups across seven areas in Northern Ireland.
In addition, the British Red Cross and the Irish Red Cross have engaged in cross-border activities with groups to gain a better understanding of integration in a non-segregated society.
As lead partner for the project, the British Red Cross will deliver an overview of the methodologies and approach used to underpin therapeutic, artistic and conversational elements of the programme, as well as share our recommendations/key findings from our research.
An opportunity for a short Q+A will be available after the presentation.”
