Autism and Anxiety
This course will explore the key characteristics of autism that may impact on a person’s anxiety and stress levels. The course will explore a range of strategies to help increase emotional understanding, emotional regulation and coping strategies to help an autistic individual reduce the impact of anxiety and avoid autistic burnout. The course will also explore how you can minimise anxiety triggers for autistic people within your professional role or service.

Estimates show that around 40-50% of autistic people experience significant anxiety.

It is vital that those supporting autistic people understand how and why anxiety can affect autistic people, and the steps they can take to reduce triggers for them within their service.

Please join us on this half day training to promote understanding and enhance skills to support autistic people who are anxious.

Please note: The session will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Registered delegates will receive a link to access the session approximately 48 hours before the session to enable access. The virtual training will be fully interactive and will include opportunities for discussion and question and answer sessions.
