The programme is shaping up and will examine the development of the welfare state in NI to date and consider if it is fit for purpose.  The programme will close out with lunch and more details will be announced as the programme develops - places are limited to around 85 so for now you can book your place/s by visiting our website as above which will give you the current information and allow you to log your booking and in time we will generate your invoice. 

Linda McAuley who has recently retired from presenting 'On Your Behalf' on BBC Radio Ulster is going to compere the event and key speakers will include Les Allamby, the Discretionary Support Commissioner and former Chief Commissioner at the Human Rights Commission and of course also a former Director of the Law Centre NI.  Paddy Rooney, Deputy Secretary, Work & Health Group, DFC will also present and bring us up to date on UC challenges, developments and timelines as it continues to roll-out across NI.  Support service organisations will also feature as we examine the developing complexities and needs of clients in 2024 in examining if the Welfare State is fit for purpose, some 60 years after our formation.
