Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid provides a range of support services for women and children experiencing domestic violence.

Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid has been at the forefront of responding to domestic violence for over 40 years. We believe everyone has the right to live in safety and free from violence and abuse.  We work with women and children who have experienced domestic violence and keep their voices central to our work.  Our vision is to end domestic violence and establish a future where it is unacceptable and where women and children are safe in their homes.

 

We are looking for a strong and inspirational Chief Executive who can lead the organisation through a period of change and development.  The successful candidate will have experience of working in a senior role in the Third or Public Sectors.  She will be able to demonstrate a passion and commitment to the work of Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid.

 

It is expected that this fixed term post will last for 2 years.  After which it will be reviewed and may be extended or made permanent.

 

Salary: NJC scale points 54-65. 

 

Due to the level of contact with vulnerable women and children, the lawful recruitment of a female for this post falls within the exemption stated in Article 10 (2b&e) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976.
