Corpus Christi Youth Centre was established in 1971 to provide quality youth service for the Ballymurphy area and the surrounding areas of Whiterock, Westrock, Sliabh Dubh and Springhill. We work to enable young people to aspire, achieve and succeed.
This Studentship is a work-based training programme that enables individuals to benefit from ongoing training in a professional youth work setting. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain professional skills and a nationally recognised professional youth work qualification (BSc (Hons) Community Youth Work) from the University of Ulster. The studentship comes with a £15,000 annual bursary to cover cost of living, travel, books etc. Additionally, the student will be expected to work late nights, weekends and undertake residential work as required. Moreover, the position requires the student to work over the summer months for both University and practice placement as part of this position. There is no scope for leave this summer (2017) due to the study demands and this will only be considered after 30th September. This qualification and placement will be highly demanding, subsequently the successful applicant will need to be motivated, focused, dedicated, and academically capable and willing to commit to three years of study.
