The Warm Homes Scheme provides is the Department for Social Developments main tool in tackling fuel proverty throughout Northern Ireland. The scheme provides free Insulation to Homeowners and Private Tenants who are in receipt of qualifying Benefits.

Many people in Northern Ireland could be missing out on free help with insulation and heating through the Warm Homes Scheme.
If you own or privately rent your home from a landlord and receive one of the following benefits then you could receive a package of insulation measures or a new central heating system for your home;
Income Support*
- Income Related Employment & Support Allowance*
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance*
- Pension Credit*
- Child Tax Credit (Relevant income less that £15,860)
- Working Tax Credit*
- Disability Living Allowance
- Attendance Allowance
- Housing Benefit*
All those listed above will qualify for insulation measures and only those marked with an asterisk (*) qualify for heating systems where an eligible applicant currently has Economy 7, LPG, Solid Fuel or no heating system at all.
