We are a Day Centre, community group and charity based in the Glenshane Business Park, Dungiven; open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Centre works with adults who have sensory, physical and learning disabilities, their families and carers.

We are a registered Day Care Setting regulated by RQIA founded as a community group for people with physical and learning disabilities by family members, carers, disabled people themselves and the local community to provide a service that meets the rural needs of people with disabilities within their own community. The Centre is a unit purpose built to meet the needs of a diverse group of disabled people who have many differing diagnosis.  It is a place where they enjoy inviting people in and a place to use as a base to go out into their community from. The Centre is also a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. We currently provide vocational, therapeutic, physical and social activities for 21 people with disabilities each week and cook a home made meal from scratch each lunchtime. There are four qualified core staff who are skilled in supporting members and work together as a person centred team to support individual needs. Due to the rural nature of the setting the Centre has a mobility minibus which collects and drops off members in and around Dungiven each morning and evening and takes them on outings at least once a month. We are a very friendly and supportive group of people, who enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them into what is a good humoured, positive place to meet and enjoy good company, learn new skills and participate in interesting activities. We have gardens and a lovely spacious kitchen cafe area with a private room for consultations and a treatment room. A large office and comfy areas with sofas to sit and socialise. There is a large tabled area for arts and crafts and a pool table. The Centre is well equipped with materials to support the activities we offer. As a charity we have a  fundraising committee who are enthusiastive and always looking for new members. They put on events throughout the year; including a Cycle Sportive in April, an annual walk in October and a Christmas Craft Fayre in November. Last year they also put on a large music event to raise money for the new mobility minibus we bought in February this year. We have a voluntary board of Directors, comprising of people with physical disabilities, family and carers and they are keen to find people to come onto the board who have the skills and experience to support the Centre towards a sustainable and innovative future.
