Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to deliver sessional counselling sessions in Relatives for Justice

 

Terms of Reference: COUNSELLING PROVISION

 

 

Purpose

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT. Counselling:  The purpose of this programme is to deliver professional trauma Counselling

with qualified Counsellors/Clinicians to members impacted by traumatic loss and injury.  This programme promotes therapeutic support to members to facilitate recovery from conflict related trauma. 

 

Membership

This programme is specific to those who have been bereaved or injured or a carer for someone who has been injured as a result of the conflict.

This programme will be delivered in RFJ offices Glen Road, Belfast and Dungannon and possibly in outreach centres in North and East Belfast, South Derry and South Down.

Review

It is anticipated this programme will run from April 2016 –to- March 2017

Due to the sensitivity surrounding the work carried out within Relatives for Justice, complete confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach should be taken at all times.

Tender requirements

 

 

  • A cover letter detailing your hourly rate inclusive of VAT.
  • A copy of your most updated CV.
  • Tender applicants must include the name, address, telephone number and email addresses of two referees who may be contacted for references in connection with the proposed contract.

 

Evaluation of proposals:

The Contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous proposal applying the following award criteria, not necessarily in this order:

 

 

  • Knowledge of working with conflict related trauma and with victims and survivors.
  • Knowledge of working in a community setting.
  • Evidence of full accreditation and membership of professional Counselling body, ie BACP/IACP.
  • Evidence of professional insurance.
  • Evidence of receiving external supervision.
  • Understanding and an awareness of the requirements of the project including the context for the work of Relatives for Justice.
  • Own mode of transport able to travel throughout North of Ireland.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and days.

 

There is no allowance for travel or materials so please ensure these costs are covered in the tender process.
