Titanic Supercar Driving Tour Auction

The brand new McLaren MP4-12C road car will be unveiled in Northern Ireland for the first time at a special gala ball in aid of Northern Ireland’s leading cancer charity, the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF).

The ball will be held at Belfast’s newest landmark Titanic Belfast on Saturday 28th April to raise funds for cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

Guests at the event, being hosted byBelfastcompany Legacy Wealth, will also be able to bid at an auction for a fantastic three-hour supercar experience along the North Coast. And the winner’s own car will be spruced up by TV’s Top Gear specialist valeting team.

Denise McAuley, from supercar club Ecurie25 (NI), said, “We are delighted to be able to showcase the new McLaren at this stylish event which will raise money for the Ulster Cancer Foundation.

“The car will be on display outside Titanic Belfast and guests at the gala ball will be able to get a close-up look at this amazing state-of-the-art machine.

“The McLaren has a staggering 592bhp, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. In the MP4-12C’s name, ‘12’ relates to its performance level and ‘C’ to its body style. 0-60mph time has been recorded in 3.2 seconds.

“Members of E25 (NI) supercar club can drive many more vehicles like this, including the Ferrari 458 Italia, Lambourgini Aventador and New Gallardo, for a fraction of the cost of ownership. This means you have no additional costs post purchase, such as insurance, tyres, road tax or servicing,” she said.

Keith Liggett, Director of Legacy Wealth which is hosting the ball, said, “We are thrilled to have this latest McLaren at our Titanic gala event. “Guests will be able to bid in an auction and win the chance to get behind the wheel of a supercar for a three-hour drive along the NorthCoast. The winner will be able to choose from two or three models, including the McLaren MP4-12C, and test its first-class performance for themselves.

”While the winner is on the road, their own car will get a thorough cleaning, worth almost £300, from the Ballymoney-based Total Perfection Valeting team which valets vehicles for the hit TV show Top Gear.

The Irish-themed gala ball marks the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, the world’s most famous ship, and is the first charitable event to be held at Northern Ireland’s most exciting and unique new venue.

As well as having a wonderful opportunity to view the iconic building, those attending will be able to enjoy a night of first class entertainment compered by TV presenter Paul Clark and headlining singer Brian Kennedy. There will also be performances from Irish dance troupe Celtic Storm and traditional singers Tully followed by dancing to one of Ireland’s top live bands Electric Avenue.
