Rural Transport Fund Voucher Scheme

The DRD's Rural Transport Fund is pleased to announce the continuation of the Voucher Scheme into 2013-14. This scheme allows eligible groups to apply for a voucher towards the cost of a specified trip. These trips will be provided by an approved list of transport operators, which will be enclosed within the application pack.

Applications are currently available for those planning to travel within the months of July, August and September 2013.

Groups are eligible to apply if:

• They are rurally based (or consist of predominantly rural members)
• They are non profit-making
• They are constituted
• They have 17 or more people travelling.

If successful the scheme will provide £100 towards the cost of your transport.

The closing date for return of completed applications for this round is 31st May 2013.

There is a limit to the number of vouchers available in each area. To assist those community organisations that help or support the most vulnerable in society there is a selection process.
