Radio Ulster Broadcast Appeal - Myasthenia Gravis Association

Radio Ulster Broadcast Appeal on behalf of Myasthenia Gravis - 8.55 am Sunday 29 September and 2.55 Monday 30 September 2013

Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is an auto-immune disease which is characterized by muscle weakness. The body's immune system attacks and damages the nerve signal areas on the muscles causing a breakdown in communication - this reduces the muscles effectiveness. Activities taken for granted can become difficult or even impossible at times e.g. eating, lifting and speaking.

The Myasthenia Gravis Association offers support to Myasthenics and their families and aims to increase public and medical awareness and to raise funds for research.
