Make sure you don’t miss out on the Warm Homes Scheme - due to end 31st March 2015!

This FREE scheme is for people who receive certain benefits and own their home or rent it from a private landlord

As the scheme is due to end on 31 March 2015, it is important that you apply as soon as possible to check if you are eligible.

What measures are available under Warm Homes?

If you are an owner occupier or privately rent your home you may be eligible for:

• Cavity Wall Insulation                                  
• Loft Insulation
• Hot Water Tank Jacket
• Benefit Entitlement Check
• Energy Advice

If you have Economy 7, Solid Fuel, bottled gas/LPG heating system or no heating at all you may also be eligible for:

• Installation of a fully controlled energy efficient oil or gas central heating system where no system currently exists.
• Conversion of an existing bottled gas (LPG), solid fuel or Economy 7 heating system to oil or natural gas.

Do I qualify for the Warm Homes Scheme?

If you are in receipt of one of the following benefits or tax credits, you could qualify:

• Income Support*
• Income Related Employment Support Allowance*
• Income Based Job Seekers Allowance*
• Pension Credit*
• Working Tax Credit*
• Child Tax Credit (with relevant income less than £16,010)
• Housing Benefit *
• Disability Living Allowance
• Attendance Allowance

All benefits listed above will qualify for the insulation measures, and only those marked with an asterisk (*) will qualify for the heating system. If you are not in receipt of any of the benefits or tax credits listed above, you could still request a Benefit Entitlement Check, which could identify that you are entitled to receive one of these benefits.
