LSIS request views of the Advice and Guidance workforce

LSIS are requesting employer and employer representative body views on future developments for the Advice and Guidance workforce across Northern Ireland.

If you are an organisation with an interest in Advice and Guidance, LSIS would welcome an opportunity to canvas your views on future developments for the workforce within this sector.  LSIS is the Standards Setting Organisation for the lifelong learning sector across the UK, responsible for developing, maintaining and updating National Occupational Standards and Apprenticeship frameworks in the four nations.

The Advice and Guidance National Occupational Standards (NOS) were completed in 2006 and we have received feedback that revising these NOS would now be appropriate. Similarly we have received some initial enquiries regarding the development of an Apprenticeship framework in Advice and Guidance and we would welcome your views as to the desirability and/or feasibility of this.

If you are interested we would be very grateful if you were able to answer a few short questions to inform us of your views on future developments in the Advice and Guidance sector – https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LBP36S6

It would be great if we could receive responses by Friday 7th December.

Please also feel free to highlight this work to colleagues or other organisations within Northern Ireland or across the UK who may also be interested in this work.

In addition we would welcome any views or comments on other areas of work, particularly in relation to National Occupational Standards and Apprenticeships Frameworks.
