Kinship Care NI Launch New Social Enterprise (Kids n' Kinship Shop)
Kinship Care NI have established a new social enterprise to enhance the training and employability of kinship carers and young people in kinship care.
The new Kids n' Kinship Shop, located at 54 Spencer Road, Derry/Londonderry will officially open at 12 noon, Monday 16th November 2015.
The shop will sell children's clothes, toys, books and household items and will be run by volunteers, including kinship carers and young people living in kinship care arrangements.
A full training package will be on offer, including training on Customer Care, Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Manual Handling.
The aim of the Shop is to increase the skills and employability of kinship carers and young people in kinship care and to generate funds to support our work with kinship families in Northern Ireland.
