HERITAGE ANGEL AWARDS NI - APPLY/NOMINATE NOW!

Have you or do you know anyone who has been involved in a heritage project?
The Heritage Angel Awards NI will celebrate the efforts of local people, either individuals or groups who have saved historic buildings and places throughout Northern Ireland.

The Ulster Architectural Heritage Society is delighted to bring the Heritage Angel Awards to Northern Ireland to celebrate the efforts of local people, either individuals or groups, who have saved historic buildings.

Funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and the Department of Communities the awards recognise people who champion their local heritage and share and practice forgotten craft skills. They also recognise young people, especially apprentices, acknowledging their efforts to learn about heritage.

We have four award categories to celebrate the endeavours of people who have gone to extraordinary lengths to protect, save and share their local heritage. There will also be the popular People's Favourite voted by the public and an 'Overall UK Winner of Angels'.

Award categories 2017

  • Best Rescue of a Historic Building
  • Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People (25 and under)
  • Best Craftsmanship or Apprentice on a Heritage Rescue or Repair Project
  • Best Rescue, Recording or Interpretation of a Historic Place

The Inaugural Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday 7th November 2017 at the Grand Opera House, Belfast.   Each Award winner will then move forward to represent Northern Ireland for best overall winner at a high profile ceremony on Monday 20th November 2017 at the Palace Theatre, London.
