The Comber Foundation is celebrating 21 years of making a real and lasting difference to the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people in Romania by having a Dinner Dance in La Mon Hotel & Country Club on Saturday 16th June at 7pm.  This event will be a celebration of all the Comber Foundation has achieved over the past 21 years, and also an opportunity to look forward at what the Comber Foundation plans to do in the future.

The Comber Foundation is a home grown charity, founded in 1991 in Comber, County Down, which seeks to improve the lives of disabled children and adults in Romania and Eastern Europe.  One of the many ways which the Comber Foundation practically improves lives is by forming group homes, these homes offer young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities the opportunity to live within a community, outside of an institution, for the very first time since birth.

Fiona Dowling, Executive Director of the Comber Foundation, commented on the Dinner Dance:

‘We at the Comber Foundation are delighted to be able to host an event which is such a positive celebration of our work over the past 21 years, whilst acknowledging the work that remains to be done in the future.  We are very proud of all that our volunteers and donors have achieved and feel that they deserve a real celebration.  We are delighted that John Daly has agreed to MC the event and are looking forward to a great evening’s entertainment!’

The Dinner Dance is indeed sure to be a great night’s entertainment for everyone, with a ‘Dress to Impress’ dress code, John Daly as MC, swing music and even swing dancers helping to kick off the festivities!

Everyone is welcome to attend the event.  Tickets cost £40 per person, including your entertainment and three course meal, with proceeds directly supporting the Comber Foundation.  To book your ticket for the Dinner Dance please contact Emma on 0777 185 1198 or email [email protected].  We look forward to seeing you there!
