Are you missing out on the Warm Homes Scheme?

Many people in Northern Ireland could be missing out on free help with insulation and heating through the Warm Homes Scheme.

The Scheme is funded by the Department for Social Development and aims to make your home warmer, healthier and more energy efficient.  

The scheme provides free loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, hot water tank jacket and energy advice.   Loft top-ups are also available for houses that have not been insulated in the past ten years. We also provide a benefit entitlement check to all applicants to ensure that you are receiving all the benefits that you are entitled to. 

A new oil or gas central heating system may also available for those in receipt of one of the Warm Homes Plus benefits (*) and who have Economy 7, LPG, Solid Fuel or no heating system at all.

Do I qualify for the Warm Homes Scheme?

To qualify for this scheme you must own or privately rent your home from a landlord and be in receipt of one of the following benefits.

  • Income Support*
  • Income Related Employment & Support Allowance*
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance*
  • Pension Credit*
  • Child Tax Credit (Relevant income less that £15,910)
  • Working Tax Credit*
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Housing Benefit*

 

All those listed above will qualify for insulation measures and only those marked with an asterisk (*) qualify for heating systems.

This is a fully funded scheme therefore there is no cost to homeowners, tenants or landlords.
