Support Worker (Sight Loss)

RNIB Northern Ireland is recruiting for a Support Worker to provide sighted assistance to blind or partially sighted employees to enable them to complete job tasks effectively.

This role will be based in Belfast, with approximately 26.5 hours per week on an as and when required contract basis.

As Support Worker, you will provide, where required, sighted guidance for the employee to locations throughout Northern Ireland which aren’t always accessible by public transport, therefore a full driving licence and a car are required along with Business Insurance.

The successful candidate will have understanding of issues experienced by people with sight loss and preferably have previous experience of supporting blind and partially sighted people.

This role requires an enhanced criminal records check as the role holder will provide assistance to adults with sight loss.
