Jigsaw CCC are seeking experienced, sessional counsellors to deliver our Primary School Counselling Service, in addition to sessional children's work within the Organisational Centre.
Jigsaw CCC has extended the service offered to primary schools, and currently operates within 14 local schools. At present, our service is provided by arrangement with individual schools. Jigsaw provides a confidential, professional and approachable counselling service to all clients.
These posts are offered on a fixed term contract for a year, in the first instance, at a pay rate of £20 per hour.
Job Purpose:
To work as part of Jigsaw CCC providing counselling or psychotherapeutic support in line with organisational needs. This will involve working with child clients within a number of local schools.
Essential Criteria:
- Fully qualified members of BACP, NCS or equlivant
- Minimum of 2 years, post qualification experience of working with young people
- Passionate about helping the most disadvantaged members of the local community
- Keen to contribute to initatives for supporting children, parents and school staff
- Energetic, hardworking, flexible and weel organised.
- Available for a minimum of 3 hours per week in term times, with additional hours by arrangement
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropiate boundaries at all times.
- Committed to Jigsaw's policies and procedures
Desirable Criteria
- Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People
- Full Driving Lisence
