Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services.

We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations.

We are seeking to employ a key member of staff who will be instrumental in providing effective residential support services to people who are homeless.

PROJECT WORKER: Permanent Position – HSS13/04

LOCATION: STELLA MARIS - Provides accommodation and support for  people with a history of long term street drinking. This project is opened based on the principles of harm minimisation and low threshold working, the first of its kind in Northern Ireland.

SALARY:    £16,230

HOURS:    Based on an average of 35 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing a high quality of support to our vulnerable client group, with a commitment to service user involvement and an ability to work within the principles of partnership. You will need experience of working within a residential setting together with excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team, knowledge of the issues facing marginalised groups, flexibility to work within a 24/7 rota, knowledge of homeless legislation and an understanding of the ‘Supporting People’ programme would be beneficial.

Applicants should have at least one year’s paid or 2 years voluntary experience working in the homelessness field or another related area, desirably in a residential setting.
