NIACRO believes children and young people can be diverted from the Criminal Justice System through support designed to meet their needs and the needs of their families.

NIACRO aim to reduce anti-social and offending behaviour among those perceived to be vulnerable to offending, through our work with children, young people and their families.

The postholder will privide support to families and children in agreed projects and will work to develop appropriate opportunities for individula progression and specialist intervention.

Essential Criteria.

  • A certificate level qualification (minimum NVQ 3 or equivalent) in a relevant discipline e.g. Criminal Justice, Social Work, Youth and Community, Health or Education.
  • At least one years' experience of case work, programme development and work with disadvantaged children and families.
  • Experience of working in an interagency setting and as part of a team. 
  • Access to transport which will enable the postholder to carry out the requirments of the job.

Hours:          35 hours per week - some flexibility of hours/days of work will be required to include evening and weekend work.

Duration:      six months

Location:      Portadown
