The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

Outlook Support Worker
REF: 17/26/OSW/WEB

 

The Outlook Support Worker will support young people living with a disability, autism and brain injury to access a range of fun activities in their local area.

The Outlook Support Worker will provide personal care and transport to young people where necessary and this may include some manual handling tasks.

Hours:                        As and when required

(Due to the nature of our work with young people, the majority of the Outlook Service is delivered late afternoons and evenings).

Contract:                    As and when required

Location:                    Regional (NI)

Salary:                        £7.27 per hour

Essential:                  

  • Basic qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Health & Social Care, Childcare
  • Minimum of 6 months experience, paid or voluntary of caring for or working with young people
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Desirable:                 

  • NISCC Registration
  • Experience & understanding of young disabled people
  • Experience of working with challenging behaviours
  • NVQ in Childcare or Health & Social Care
  • Awareness of RQIA & Domiciliary Regulations and Minimum Standards awareness
