New Members for Board of Directors

We are currently seeking suitable individuals to join our board of directors. If you have good communication skills; enthusiasm, commitment to helping others and are willing to work as part of a dedicated team then this could be a voluntary role for you. We are interested in people with expertise or experience in one or more of the following: · Legal · Education · Human Rights · Finance / Fundraising · Strategic Planning

The Trustees assist in guiding the strategic and operational priorities and direction of Newstart Education Centre and provide leadership to the organisation, support the Managing Director and act as ambassadors for the organisation. If you are an individual with good communication skills; enthusiasm, commitment to helping others, and are willing to work as part of a dedicated team then this could be a voluntary role you may consider of interest. The commitment required of our trustees over a three–year term of office would involve attendance at: At least 7 out of 12 board meetings per year, each lasting approximately 1-2 hours – usually on a Thursday evening  Availability for other occasional meetings eg Strategic Planning, Interviewing, attending key fundraising events with other Board Members This is a non–remunerative role however out of pocket expenses (not mileage) will be paid.
