Logistics Support Worker, Corrymeela Ballycastle (Full–time/permanent)
The Logistics Support Worker will work as an integral member of Corrymeela’s Hospitality & Logistics Teams, the Logistics Support Worker (LSW) is responsible for maintaining and further developing key aspects of the voluntary support that Corrymeela receives. The LSW is responsible for resourcing and supporting the smooth running of the self–programmed groups who visit the centre. We want all who visit Corrymeela to be deeply impacted by their experience of the hospitality we offer, regardless of whether Corrymeela is responsible for the groups programme content. When involving volunteers in our work, this post is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the recruitment, training, coordination and supervision of short–term and summer volunteers in areas of hospitality whilst identifying and organising group–work opportunities in liaison with the Programme Team to complement the overall needs of Corrymeela’s work and vision. The role also acts as a support mechanism to the conscientious running of the centre in providing secure and responsible staff (Duty Management) presence as required, through evenings and residentially on–call overnight.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
The successful applicant should meet the following criteria:
3 years’ experience of working with volunteers and groups over the age of 18 years.
Minimum of 2 year’s proven experience in organisational, co–ordination and administrative skills.
Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering training.
Proven ability to work in a team.
Evidence of good communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
Proven ability to show flexibility and work in a demanding environment.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge in using IT systems and packages.
Ability to travel to carry out requirements of the post.
Satisfactory pre–employment check which will be conducted via Access NI (Corrymeela will conduct this prior to appointment).
Legal status to work within the EEA.
