We want an engaging manager to join us to help improve cancer outcomes and save more lives!

Cancer Research UK, the Health and Social Care Board of Northern Ireland and 2 HSC Trusts are partnering to improve the prevention and earlier diagnosis of cancer. Our Facilitator Programme provides facilitators in local HSC Trust areas to work with a range of health professionals across the cancer pathway to raise the profile of cancer, identify activities to improve cancer outcomes and make change happen at a local level. Each Facilitator has a tailored workplan that has been developed in partnership to address local priorities

About this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Professional Engagement Facilitator Manager to join our newly created team in Northern Ireland to…

  • Take responsibility and lead the delivery of the Health Professional Engagement Facilitator project in the region

  • Lead the evaluation of the project for the region (the Programme will work initially with health professionals in Belfast and South Eastern HSC Trusts)

As Health Professional Engagement Facilitator Manager, you’ll be required to spend approximately 50% of your time undertaking core Facilitator activities such as building effective relationships with GP practices within the locality to raise the awareness of the importance of early detection and screening. You’ll also work closely with GP Practices to encourage the effective use of GP Practice data and undertake interventions that support the earlier detection of cancer. Approximately 50% of your time will be focused on people management, project management and coordination duties.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a strong leader to join our team who has….

  • Experience of partnering with a range of stakeholders to influence and develop sustainable change
  • Significant experience of working in the NHS and with primary care
  • Demonstrative ability of working with GPs and primary care professionals to inform and influence practice
  • Proven ability of leading and driving forward projects to deliver project outcomes
  • Experience of managing, developing and motivating a team

As the role is field based (working from home), you’ll also need to have tenacity and be comfortable driving your own workload whilst also motivating and leading a large, geographically diverse team

If this describes you, join our growing team as we work hard to beat cancer sooner.
