Job Description

Do you like socialising, music and getting involved in the local community? As a Support Worker in our Keady service you will be passionate about all these things and more and have an opportunity to support people with a learning disability to enjoy these things too. You will be supporting the tenants to go out for meals, lose themselves in the latest cinema release, go to concerts, on holidays, overnight stays and join in other activities in their local area.

You will be working as part of a team of support workers based at the service to support the tenants to look after themselves and their home, the level of support provided will vary depending on each individual’s needs.

Experience within the care sector is an advantage but not essential as we will give you all the training needed to be able to start your new and rewarding career. Your shifts will cover mornings, evenings, and sleep-ins/waking nights including bank holidays. 

These roles require you to be motivated, have excellent communication skills as well as proven experience of working effectively within a team.
