Action for Children's Early Intervention Family Support Service works across Omagh and Fermanagh supporting children and young people aged 0-18 and their families.  

Staff provide services from our Omagh and Enniskillen bases. Services are delivered on an outreach basis to communities, individual family homes, including evenings, and weekends providing support when most needed.

The Service is funded by the Western Health and Social Care Trust and is required to support children young people and their families at an early intervention level.

We also work closely with a number of partner agencies including the Western Trust Gateway teams as well as school, paediatrics, CAMHS.

As a Family Group Conference Co-ordinator you'll be working in our team to deliver family group conferences to families who do not meet the statutory threshold for involvement with Social Services.

By working as part of a Team to provide, flexible, creative, outcomes focused supports and guidance to vulnerable children, young people and their families.

By providing mediation and negotiation with families to help them find solutions suited to their family situation.

By getting families together and assisting them to come up with plans that work for their children

By helping families take responsibility for the planning for their children, recognising that they know one another best.

By supporting the Service Co-ordinator in promoting the service and its activities to a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community based agencies and organisations.

What you'll need:

HND or Level 5 NVQ

FGCNI Accredited Family Group Conference training and complete all relevant assignments. (NI Specific)

Proven experience in working directly with children, young people and their families.

Competence in use of IT packages including MS Windows and Office along with email and internet

You must be able to work in a flexible manner, available to work weekends and evenings when required.

Ability to drive, access a car and a willingness to procure business class insurance.

Registered with NISCC

The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
