The Cultural Venue Apprentice will work across Nerve Centre operations, including music and film events, education activities, and marketing. The role includes supporting front of house and communication teams, and offers practical experience of working in a busy cultural venue, as well as on the job training.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Provide front of house support e.g. present a welcoming and courteous service to Nerve Centre visitors and callers
  2. Provide front of house support for Nerve Visual in Eighty81,Ebrington
  3. Provide general administrative support e.g. photocopying, scanning, filing, answering customer queries etc
  4. Keep up to date with Nerve Centre events, projects and activities
  5. Assist in maintaining the ticketing system and data collection for Nerve Centre’s events
  6. Work alongside the marketing team in assisting with digital marketing, website maintenance, social media and funding applications for projects
  7. Assist with the management of Nerve Centre events e.g. music gigs, conferences, training sessions and films and to provide on the ground support (will include evening and weekend work). This includes planning and organising the logistics related to the event.
  8. Be actively involved in programming events and music gigs for various audiences
  9. Assist with booking films/screenings
  10.  Understand and work to basic health and safety requirements
  11. To perform any duties as reasonably requested by the line manager
