Cook - (Part-time / Permanent)

Job Details:

Preparation of food and related catering.
Organise cooking and meals for lunch commencing at 1.15 pm.
Record food temperature.
Liaise with student co-ordinator regarding students dietary requirements.
Adhere to policies laid down by the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Report all accidents or untoward incidents immediately to the care manager/deputy.
Be familiar with the fire drill, security alarm and safety precautions relevant to the college.
Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained to the standard required to meet current hygiene regulations.
Ensure efficient operations within the kitchen.
Monitor temperature of food storage areas, in particular the fridge and freezers.
Regularly update inventory for equipment, crockery and utensils within the catering department. Report faulty equipment to main office.
Undertake additional duties requested by the Management as the need arises.
Organise refreshments for visitors on request
